This year, Prisma 2024 will host artists from diverse geographical backgrounds, including Barbados, Kenya, Martinique, Portugal, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom, and the United States, among others. The art fair will feature a wide array of works that explore and celebrate the richness of the African diaspora.
Support from organizations such as REVOLT, The Green Family Foundation, the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs, Omni CRA, Miami DDA, Knight Foundation, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Broward County Urban League ensures that Prisma 2024 will be a prominent celebration of artistic diversity and cultural exchange.
‘Art of Black Miami’ is an essential component of this celebration, focused on highlighting the influence and contributions of black artists to the global visual culture. Through their works, these artists address critical themes of identity, resistance, and beauty, offering visitors a profound and transformative experience.
In summary, Prisma 2024 is not just an event to display art; it is a forum for cultural discussion and the acknowledgment of the artistic contributions of the African diaspora to the global community. This art fair is an unmissable opportunity for art lovers, scholars, and anyone interested in contemporary cultural dynamics and their representation in modern art.
